Mark Roddy

Mark Roddy has taught, consulted, and written for many award winning high school programs throughout the southeastern U.S. His groups have medaled at the Atlantic Indoor Association Championships over ten times, and in enjoyed numerous undefeated seasons in the fall marching season. He was on the instructional staff for the University of North Carolina at Pembroke "Spirit of the Carolina's" Drumline as an undergraduate student and formerly served as percussion caption head for Platinum Drum and Bugle Corps from Raleigh N.C.

 

His performance experiences include performances with the Tarheel Sun Drum and Bugle Corps, Guilford Court House National Park Fife and Drum Corps, The Piedmont Wind Symphony, Lee County Orchestra, Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Florence Symphony Orchestra as well as the "P3" Percussion Ensemble.

 

Mark holds a Bachelors of Music with a Percussion Emphasis from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is currently pursuing his Master of Music Education at the University of Florida. Mark is former director of bands and ensembles at North Brunswick High School in Leland NC and currently serves as Director of Instrumental Music at Carolina Forest High School in Myrtle Beach S.C. Mark is a member of the Percussion Arts Society, NAFME, SEDBA, NCMEA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and is an endorser of Grover Percussion, Silverfox Sticks and Mallets, and Carolina Percussive Concepts.
